Being Dillon Brooks doesn’t seem like a very enjoyable experience at the minute. There is a lot of pressure during the playoffs, and it doesn’t get better when someone has talked as much as Dillon Brooks has during this Lakers vs. Grizzlies series.

The Los Angeles Lakers dominated the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 6, ending their season in a 40-point blowout. Dillon Brooks got roasted after the game on social media, but he had to deal with some trolling before the game in the arena too.

A Lakers fan was going at Brooks during his pregame routine, saying, “Here he comes, Shanghai Sharks Brooks. There he is. Get the stroke down, attaboy Dillon. What time’s the flight? Cancun!”

After Brooks missed some shots, the fan said, “I don’t think this guy has made one yet. People wanna know what happened to the form!” After Brooks sank a couple, he yelled, “Make ’em now, miss ’em later.” The fan ended his trolling by calling him ‘Shanghai Brooks’ as he walked off the court.

Dillon Brooks may have earned some of the clowning coming his way, but this was pretty intense. And the fan was lucky that Brooks seemed to be tuning out what he was yelling. Banter is always fun, but this type of consistent trolling could result in an incident if fans aren’t careful. As one Suns fan found out with Russell Westbrook, players won’t stay quiet forever.

Dillon Brooks Has Been Called Out For Playing The Villain But Not Being Able To Handle It

The Memphis Grizzlies man hasn’t had much to say after his initial quotes about LeBron James. Dillon Brooks isn’t too happy with the negative attention coming his way. And Ashley Nicole Moss is among the people that have called him out for not being able to live up to his villain persona

“Dillon Brooks is the epitome of ‘don’t let your mouth write a check your a** can’t cash,'” Nicole Moss said in a recent episode of the ‘I Am Athlete’ podcast. “That’s the epitome of what he is. … Dillon Brooks wanted to be this guy. He wanted to be the villain… So, now you’re this guy, and now you’re crying about being this guy, and now you wanna go ahead and make it seem like the media made you this guy.”

Draymond Green also called him out for ducking smoke; their feud is public knowledge within the NBA. It seems like Dillon Brooks isn’t exactly anyone’s favorite at the moment, and perhaps some time away from the game will allow him the space he needs to reset.
