The Los Angeles Lakers could have walked out of their play-in game against the Minnesota Timberwolves with a 95-98 win after Dennis Schroder hit a three with 1.4 seconds left.

Anthony Davis ended up committing a blatant 3-point foul on Mike Conley which led to the Wolves sending the game to OT. Fans are furious with the Lakers star for this error.

Fans had many jokes, including accounts like FanDuel.

Some fans remembered the J.R. Smith moment that cost LeBron James a playoff game against the Warriors.

A hilarious joke about LeBron being pissed with AD was also made.

More fans criticized AD’s decision-making.

Another Shannon Sharpe meme was used to convey feelings on the foul by Davis.

More fans were pissed at the low IQ moment.

The Lakers need to pull this win off in OT to book their berth to face the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. They can’t afford to miss the playoffs for a second consecutive year with LeBron and Davis.

The Best Play-In Game Ever?

The tension in this game is rivaled by the OT game between Memphis and Golden State in 2021 which led to the Warriors being eliminated from the playoffs and the young Grizzlies booking their first playoff berth. The Lakers have trailed by double-digits multiple points but managed to pull it off.

The fourth quarter had some ugly basketball with turnovers and poor shot-making, but both teams were playing with 100% effort on defense. It was a rough and tumble game from the start and will ultimately be decided by which teams can find their offensive spark in the fourth.
