LeBron James Describes Himself As A Swiss Army Knife

LeBron James had the perfect explanation to what type of player he is on the court.

LeBron James is definitely one of the best players to set foot on an NBA court, and he’s not slowing down. The King has played at the best level since he first made it to the league 20 years ago.

Ever since that moment, James has become the most complete player in NBA history, doing everything he’s asked to on the court. During a conversation with legendary head coach Mike Krzyzewski, James perfectly described himself, making a big comparison with a ‘Swiss army knife’ (13:50 mark).

“I kinda describe myself like a Swiss army knife,” he said.

James explained that he does not have only one position on the court and called himself a basketball player instead.

“I’m just a basketball player, yeah that’s what, I’m not a point guard, I’m not a shooting guard… I’m a basketball player,” James added.

Over the years, LeBron has become better and better. The four-time NBA champion was originally listed as a small forward, then he developed his game, and his body got a lot bigger, making him a strong player that can guard all positions on the court.

James went on to be considered a point guard, a shooting guard in certain situations, a power forward, and even a center. He’s indeed the most complete player to ever play the game, but when you try to select a position for him, it’s nearly impossible. James is the only player to be listed at every position during his career.

Right now, he plays as a forward for the Lakers, but he still has playmaking duties with the Purple and Gold. James doesn’t hesitate to take on any challenge against different rivals, but at this stage of his career, that’s not common to see.

Still, the impact he’s had on the game, doing whatever he wanted and becoming a total threat on both ends of the court, is incredible.

LeBron James Wants To Play With Son Bronny More Than Winning Another Championship

At this point, it’s hard to see LeBron James being the No. 1 option on a championship team. He’s still that good, but the Lakers have another option to take that spot. Having said this, it’s easy to see why he’s reportedly favoring playing with his son Bronny in the league than chasing another championship.

LeBron is as competitive as they come, and he would be extremely happy if he won another ring, but the focus might be different now. The Atlanta Hawks would welcome him and Bronny next year if the latter’s projected draft position doesn’t change.

The King still has a lot left in the tank, but at this stage in his career, the main goal isn’t adding that fifth championship to his resume.
