LeBron James is one of the best players that the game of basketball has ever seen. He has already scrawled his name all over the history books over his 20-year career and is about to put the cherry on top of it by becoming the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, unseating Kareem Abdul-Jabbar from the record.

While Kareem might not be happy about it, everyone in the NBA is waiting to see LeBron break the all-time scoring record. A courtside fan asked LeBron whether he will cry after breaking the record, and the Lakers’ star bluntly said no while revealing that he would cry after winning another championship.

“Scoring record? Nah. If we win a championship, I’ll cry. I am going to try to do it.”

A championship is the ultimate prize in basketball and LeBron still could add more to his tally to make his status as the greatest of all time even stronger. Right now, the man he’s most compared to, Michael Jordan, has 6.

Is It Realistic To Say LeBron James Will Win Another Championship With The Lakers?

LeBron James brought a title to LA in 2020 but has fell way short of the mark since. In 2021, the Lakers were first-round exits while last year, they missed the playoffs entirely. The Lakers are currently 11-15, so they aren’t looking like contenders this year either.

The Lakers have minimal room to work with but are expected to have $36 million in cap next year and have draft picks to move in possible trades. Hopefully, the Lakers don’t end up making the wrong move yet again and ruin any chance of contending in LeBron’s twilight.
