Luguentz Dort had a productive season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, showing his status as one of the best 3 and D players in the league. He averaged 17.2 PPG, 4.2 RPG, and 1.7 APG for the team this season.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have rewarded Lu Dort with a new contract. Adrian Wojnarowski has recently reported that he has agreed to a five-year $87.5 million extension with the Thunder, and it’s clear that they value him very highly as a player.

Free agent G Lu Dort has agreed to a five-year, $87.5M deal to stay with the Oklahoma City Thunder, his agent Thad Foucher of Wasserman tells ESPN.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have a nice young core currently. The team drafted Chet Holmgren with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, and now they have both Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Luguentz Dort committed to the franchise for the foreseeable future.

It is impressive that Luguentz Dort managed to work his way up from being undrafted to signing a lucrative, long-term deal with an NBA franchise. Hopefully, we see him continue to improve, but there’s no doubt that he is already a valuable player that drives winning with his defense-first mentality.
