LeBron James teamed up with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh on the Miami Heat and the team ended up winning 2 championships together. Things were far from smooth sailing though, they had some tough series and 2 Finals losses as well.
Mario Chalmers was on that Miami Heat team, and he played a sort of little brother role to LeBron James. They once famously fought with Chalmers calling James a b*tch and he has finally explained why.
“I think we all was at that moment,” Chalmers explained. “Like everybody was just complaining about a whole bunch of different sh*t that was happening on the court. And nobody really wanted to take ownership or take accountability of it. You know me being a little brother. The little brother’s always going to stand up and call out the big brother.”
Chalmers also revealed that the altercation occurred when he told James, “You’re a star player of the team, stop acting like a b*tch, and let’s just play basketball.”

Those are strong words to say to the reigning MVP and Finals MVP, but that is the sort of role that Chalmers had on the Miami Heat. They would come back and win that game against the Indiana Pacers, and win the championship again in 2013 as well, so it’s safe to say that things worked out for the Heat beyond this point.
Mario Chalmers Said Players Didn’t Fear LeBron James Like They Feared Michael Jordan
Although LeBron James was the driving force behind Mario Chalmers winning two rings, he hasn’t been entirely complimentary of James in retirement either. He recently spoke about the GOAT debate, sharing his opinion that opponents never feared LeBron James like they feared Michael Jordan.
“Nobody fears Bron [James],” Chalmers said. “Nobody’s like, ‘Damn, I gotta go play against Bron tonight.’ Nobody said that. I don’t know why? Because I seen people be scared when they line up to him. But they’re not scared thinking about that matchup. You hear anybody from that era talk about going against Jordan, there’s a fear.”
These comments are unlikely to bother LeBron James, who is probably entirely focused on his recovery and returning in time to help the Los Angeles Lakers make noise in the playoffs. But it’s good to hear an inside look into what transpired between the two players in a heated moment that most fans haven’t forgotten about.
