The Philadelphia 76ers won back-to-back games against the Charlotte Hornets, but it was not the cleanest of games. In the second meeting, Miles Bridges and Andre Drummond were in each other’s faces following a play the Sixers big man took an exception to.

Drummond stole the ball from Bridges on the defensive end and ran out in transition. While he attempted to box out following a Seth Curry three-point attempt, he was shoved from behind by Bridges.

Looking at Drummond, it looked as if he just wanted to have a conversation with Bridges, but both players ended up going face to face and had to be separated by the referees.

In the post-game presser, Bridges was asked about the altercation and he had this to say:

“It’s nothing. Nobody is ever going to fight in the NBA. The NBA is kind of like WWE, ain’t nobody about to fight. He had a chance to do something, but it’s all for entertainment.”

There have been a lot of altercations this season that ended with opposition players looking to have a piece of the next man. Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokic hit Miami Heat Markieff Morris from behind in retaliation to a dirty play, which resulted in fines and suspensions. Markieff was the worse off in that situation as he sustained an injury that has sidelined him for 16 games so far.

Another situation was the Lebron James-Isaiah Stewart squabble which left Stewart bloodied and resulted in suspensions for both players.

Things ended peacefully, without the refs giving any technicals for misconduct to either Bridges or Drummond. At the time, the Sixers were four points down but they turned things around in the second half to win the game 110-106. Bridges ended the game with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists while Drummond managed 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
