• LeBron James was enjoying Diddy’s new album ‘The Love Album: Off The Grid’
• James was singing along to songs from the album on Instagram
• Diddy shared a clip of James singing and said he had the best voice in the NBA.
LeBron James is an open lover of music, whether that gets him mocked or not. The man who claimed to have discovered the Migos before they started dropping music together often shares his love for songs by singing along to them and posting them on Instagram. Though he is prone to forgetting lyrics, his infectious energy makes it a fun watch nonetheless.
He recently was singing along to Diddy’s latest album and shared a story, prompting the musician to reshare the video and claim that James has the best voice in the NBA.
“Nah, my brother King James got the best voice in the NBA! LOVE! LOVE!! LOVE!”
LeBron is dedicated to his craft on the court, but he takes his personal interests seriously as well. Like most people, James loves music and may dip his toes into that arena after his playing career is over. If he does, James is connected to some of the most influential figures in hip-hop and could produce a super album with heavy hitters on his tracklist.
LeBron James Wants To Produce An Album
Even though Diddy may think James has a future as a vocalist or rapper, that isn’t the arena that James is interested in. The four-time champion has previously expressed his desire to produce an album one day.
“My love for music is INSANE!!! I think I’m going to do an album. Oh no, I won’t be rapping or anything like that. I’m not crazy, I know what I’m great at, but I tell you one thing I do have. So many friends that can. Thinking out loud.”

James may not have the specific music expertise required to be an elite producer, but if he goes into such an initiative, he will have some of the best minds in the industry around him. Being the glue that brings some of the best talent in the world together on one album will allow James to produce a classic album, even if the music is furnished and cleaned up by real professionals in the music world.
NBA Players Love Rap Music
Hip-hop and basketball are inextricably linked as both cultures heavily influence the other. A larger basketball culture has been created over the years and elements of the hip-hop world have permeated through, especially in dictating the fashion of NBA players. Given how influential music is to them, many players have dabbled into their musical interests while still being active in the league.
Damian Lillard is arguably the most high-profile athlete-turned-rapper still playing in the NBA. If James was to one day make an album, Lillard would likely feature in a song, given he was also included in the Space Jam 2 soundtrack. After retirement, Lillard will most definitely tap into his rap habits even more and hope to find mainstream success in that arena.
The likes of Shaquille O’Neal, Lonzo Ball, Marvin Bagley III, Miles Bridges, and many more have also made rap songs while playing professional basketball. Offseasons are long, and players should explore their hobbies in that time. As long as they are focusing on the game while still in the league, it’s fun to see the rap talent that they have in the offseason.
