Joel Embiid was being guarded inside by Royce O’Neale, who was trying to prevent the entry pass from coming in. He saw his opportunity when contact was created and theatrically fell to the ground. Joel Embiid’s detractors often point to the favorable whistle that he supposedly gets. There is no denying that Embiid shoots a lot of free throws, but even outside of that, there have been issues. Nets Head Coach Jacque Vaughn had problems with the lack of calls against Embiid as well.
