Zion Williamson has left fans stunned with his explosive play and pyrotechnics this season.
The New Orleans Pelicans forward has been a driving force in the side’s table-topping run so far this season, and while at it, he also demonstrated why he was a tear when he burst into the league.
A recent clip of Williamson loading up for a dunk in the second quarter of their 121-100 blowout loss to the Utah Jazz went viral. While the result didn’t go the Pelicans’ way, his scintillating gameplay was on full display. And fans were clearly in awe.
I wanna know who made this man, clearly not human. https://t.co/veBDBy0MB4

Williamson notched 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists in the loss to Utah, who owed it to their bench for spotting big.
Can Zion Williamson And The New Orleans Pelicans Go The Distance In 2022-23?
The New Orleans Pelicans have punched well above their weight so far, winning 18 of the 27 games they have played so far this season. They sit as table-toppers in a stacked Western Conference and are tied with the Memphis Grizzlies, placed second.
There’s no doubt that their current style of basketball earns them a spot in the playoffs. Williamson has led from the front, averaging 25 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. Despite his injury, that’s kept him on the sidelines, Brandon Ingram’s 20.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 4.7 assists make him the second-highest scorer. Veteran CJ McCollum has played his part with 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 5.7 assists.
New Orleans has the potential to advance in the playoffs, but much of their success depends on the health of the stars, especially Williamson, who missed the entirety of the last season.
While he’s been making amends for his absence with a dominant run so far that’s put him in the MVP chatter, the Pelicans will hope that he will have Ingram back on the floor to assist him soon enough as they inch closer to the 30-game mark. The Pelicans play the Jazz again, followed by a clash against the Milwaukee Bucks.
