The Milwaukee Bucks came into this contest with the Philadelphia 76ers on a 16-game win streak and for the longest time, it looked like another win was on the cards.

The Sixers, though, who were trailing by 14 points entering the fourth quarter, had other ideas as they mounted a furious comeback led by Joel Embiid and James Harden to win 133-130. NBA fans were highly impressed by Harden’s performance in this one.

“Bro had flashbacks & went back to Houston mode.” said a fan who felt this was indeed a throwback to Harden in Houston.

“Philly is gonna be a problem for the Celtics and bucks” felt another who thinks the Sixers can challenge the heavyweights in the Conference.

“Best pg in the league.” claimed a fan who thinks Harden is the best at the point guard spot.

“Vintage? He has been doing this all season lmao.” said a fan who thinks the media haven’t been paying attention to Harden’s good play this season.

“You love to see it.” said another who is just happy to see Harden playing ever so well.

Harden finished the night with a game-high 38 points (19 in the fourth quarter) to go with 10 assists and 9 rebounds as the Sixers improved to 41-22. Embiid, meanwhile, had 31 points, 10 assists, and 6 rebounds and he played some excellent defense in that last quarter. He also forced a crucial turnover from Giannis Antetokounmpo late in the game which helped the Sixers get the win.

Giannis had a solid showing too, as he had 34 points to go with 13 rebounds but his plus-minus of -14 was the lowest of the game. This result would also have pleased the Boston Celtics, as it was looking like the Bucks might just run away with the best record in the league. As for the Sixers, they are now four games behind the Bucks, who are at the top with a 45-18 record, and they keep their hopes alive of finishing atop the standings in the Eastern Conference.

Can The Sixers Challenge The Bucks And The Celtics?

The Sixers have been involved in two thrillers against the Bucks and Celtics in the last week or so. They narrowly lost the game to the Celtics with the game having a wild ending that saw Embiid’s full-court shot to tie the game come moments after the buzzer.

The Bucks and Celtics have been regarded as clearly the two best teams in the East but the Sixers have shown they can hang with both of them. Embiid took a bit of a shot at them by saying he isn’t concerned by what they are doing and that he is only focused on what the Sixers can do. If Embiid and Harden can consistently play the way they did today, then the rest of the league is in trouble but that is a big if.
