The Denver Nuggets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1, with a final score of 132-126. There’s no doubt that this is going to be an entertaining series, and it’ll be interesting to see if the Lakers can respond in Game 2.

After the game, many fans reacted to the contest on social media, and it is clear that some were ready with hot takes. LeBron James missed a clutch shot, lost the ball, and ruined two essential possessions for the Lakers in the last minute of the game, and of course, NBA fans immediately reacted.

Another fan has a similar reaction.

Lebron chucking up the 3 with 45 seconds left completely changed the outcome imo

Then, obviously, the fan called LeBron ‘LeChoke’.

LECHOKE

One fan thinks LeBron destroyed Anthony Davis’ 40-point game.

Lebron killed an AD 40 piece… omg

Another fan posts a meme using Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole.

One fan used a tiger as a meme to describe LeBron James in the clutch moments.

LeBron James had a great game with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 9 assists, but he didn’t hit clutch shots and then he made a crucial turnover with just 19 seconds left when Nuggets had just 5 points lead. Next time, we are sure that LeBron will make clutch shots and lead the Lakers to the win.

On the other side, Nikola Jokic was spectacular for the Denver Nuggets tonight, putting up 34 points, 21 rebounds, and 14 assists. There’s no doubt that he’s been playing at an MVP level in the playoffs, and the Denver Nuggets will need him to continue to hoop like this if they are to beat the Los Angeles Lakers.

Even though the Los Angeles Lakers lost tonight, they still have an opportunity to beat the Denver Nuggets in the series as a whole. Anthony Davis and LeBron James have both been playing at a high level and if their role players can step up next to them, the Lakers have a shot against anybody.
