The Golden State Warriors blew out the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 2 to level up the series, but the Lakers then returned the favor with a blowout win of their own in Game 3 on Saturday.

They crushed the Warriors 127-97, and in the closing stages of the contest, cameras caught Stephen Curry looking downright depressed on the bench, and NBA fans reacted to it.

A fan mocked Curry by stating he no longer has Kevin Durant by his side to help beat LeBron James.

A fan thinks Curry has to go off or the Warriors are going home after this series.

Curry disappeared when his team needed him the most said one fan.

A fan believes the Warriors are toast when the threes aren’t falling.

A fan believes there is something going on behind the scenes, as these are not the Warriors of old.

Curry didn’t have a great game here, but neither did any of his teammates. He had a team-high 23 points to go with 4 rebounds, 3 assists, a steal, and a block, but shot 9-21 from the field. The Lakers’ defense was terrific, as they restricted the Warriors to just 39.6% shooting from the field.

The Lakers once again shot a lot more free throws than the Warriors (37-17) and also ended up connecting on more threes (15-13). All of that usually ends up leading to an embarrassing beat down like the one here, and L.A. will look to take complete control of this series by winning Game 4 to go up 3-1.

Can Stephen Curry Turn This Series Around?

It is not looking good for the Warriors right now but they were in a very similar situation in the NBA Finals last year. They had lost Games 1 and 3 to the Boston Celtics and really needed to win Game 4 in Boston. Curry rose and shone that night with 43 points to lead his team to a 107-97 win in what was arguably his greatest performance in the playoffs.

His 50-point outing in Game 7 against the Sacramento Kings was right up there with that display and Curry will have to have a performance along those lines in Game 4, or else this series is over. As great as Steph is, you find it hard to think there’s any chance that a team with LeBron James on it would blow a 3-1 lead.
