The Philadelphia 76ers won Game 4 of their first-round series against the Brooklyn Nets, sweeping the Brooklynites and advancing to the second round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Without Joel Embiid, the Sixers played hard and held off the Nets, who started the game strongly but couldn’t keep up the pace during the entire match.

After the game was over and the sweep was complete, many fans reacted to this, praising the Sixers and criticizing the Nets.

More fans claimed that Philadelphia will be swept by Boston now.

This franchise always draws a lot of attention and even more during these hard moments. Without Embiid on the court, they found a way to stop the Nets and complete the sweep.

After a tumultuous Game 3 where they were involved in controversy, with Embiid kicking Nic Claxton in the groin and James Harden getting ejected, the Sixers found their peace and rhythm, beating the Nets and getting some resting days before facing a new challenge in the semifinals.

Joel Embiid’s Return Is Unclear For Sixers

Meanwhile, Joel Embiid’s return remains a big question mark for the team. Doc Rivers provided a worrisome update about the player, saying that the MRI didn’t turn out well, setting the alarm for the team.

Now they have to sit and wait for Embiid to return. Hopefully, this sprained knee doesn’t prevent him from making a deep playoffs run, especially this season. The Sixers look like a strong candidate to come out of the East as long as they have Embiid on the court.

Without him, the job gets a lot harder, but the Sixers are confident they will have their guy back soon. They wait for the winner of the Boston Celtics vs. Atlanta Hawks series, which the Celtics lead 2-1 after three games.
