NBA Fans Trying To Create The Perfect Starting 5 Against Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, And Stephen Curry

2 Min Read

The annals of NBA history list out many names that achieved milestones like making an All-Star game or an All-NBA team. A few players ascend beyond that into achieving multiple such honors along with championship wins. A very select few at the top add to that with Finals MVPs and regular season MVPs

Some players that fulfill such criteria are LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal, and Stephen Curry. These are probably 5 of the most impactful players in the recent history of the sport. A lineup with players of that caliber would be absolutely sensational. But is there another team of 5 that could beat them?

NBA fans had multiple answers for what kind of a lineup would be needed to topple such a powerful team with the greatest players of all time. While some responses were funny, many tried answering that by including other greats that have been left off this 5, like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Larry Bird, Tim Duncan, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Magic Johnson, and others. Some recent players named included Luka Doncic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kevin Durant, and Kawhi Leonard, among others.

Many people did understandably concede defeat before even trying to make up a team that could rival this. Curry running the point with Kobe and MJ as the two wings, LeBron as the power forward, and Shaq as the center would be a basically unstoppable combination.

There are many legends in NBA history, and there are teams that could put up a very challenging fight against this squad. You’re as good as your last bucket, and any of these names could be the best on their day. Sadly, we’ll never see such a collection of talent on one team, and these arguments are left in the air.
