Anthony Davis On His Missed Free Throws And Shots: “I Think I Suck Right Now.”

2 Min Read

Anthony Davis is without any hesitation, one of the best basketball players in the world right now. However, even great players have bad games and the Brow isn’t the exception to that rule. He’s one of the key figures on the Lakers but his recent displays haven’t been the best for the purple and gold.

AD knows that and he’s ready to make things better in the next couple of games after struggling from the FT line against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night. The Lakers kept their unbeaten record on the road but AD wasn’t happy with his performance, criticizing himself for his game against the Bucks.

“I put a lot of pressure on myself to be a better basketball player, and that’s what I’m going to do,” Davis expressed after the Lakers 113-106 over the Bucks.

“I think I suck right now,” he continued, referring to his missed throws and shots.

Davis finished the game with 18 points on 8-of-18 shooting on Thursday. He missed three of his five free-throw attempts, which didn’t sit well with him. Fortunately for his team, LeBron James was feeling himself and he took over in the last quarter of the game. James was great from behind the 3-point line, shooting for 60%, leading the Lakers to the win.

Davis can bounce back in the next game, of course. The good thing here is that LeBron is taking care of business and that the season is still young so he can go through slumps now and not in the postseason when his team is going to need him the most.
