Bill Simmons has admitted he was wrong about Blake Griffin after watching him play with his new team, the overpowered Brooklyn Nets. Contrary to what people believed when the New Yorkers landed Griffin, Simmons thought that the 2011 Rookie of the Year was ‘washed’ but the veteran has proved him wrong.

During a recent edition of The Bill Simmons podcast, the controversial analyst backpedaled on his initials comments about Blake and the type of player he would be with the Nets once he returned to the floor. Griffin has played four games with the team and is showing very interesting things. It seems like this new start had a positive effect on him and even Simmons noticed that.

“Listen I am not perfect. I am wrong from time to time, I know it’s hard to believe for some people. I but don’t bat 1000%. I thought Blake is washed. But what I have seen in 3 games, I think he will be out there in crunch time for Nets. I was wrong,” he said on the podcast, where he was joined by Raja Bell.

Blake recently called out fans for calling him ‘washed’ and then whine about his landing in Brooklyn. Simmons wasn’t part of that group and now he’s realizing that people were right about the former Los Angeles Clippers, Detroit Pistons player. Simmons has been very active calling out players and teams, including the Houston Rockets and the bad move they made when dealing James Harden to Brooklyn.

The Nets landed LaMarcus Aldridge over the weekend, too, and all these signings can take them to the next level. This team is expected to do big things this campaign as the days go by, more people see them as the clear favorites to come out of the East.
