The James Harden vs. Giannis Antetokounmpo Beef Timeline Started 6 Years Ago

2 Min Read

Giannis Antetokounmpo and James Harden have been two recurrent names around the NBA in recent hours, as the beef between these two keeps growing. The Houston Rockets star took a shot at the Greek Freak, explaining Antetokounmpo is good because of his height.

“I wish I could just be 7 feet and run and dunk. That takes no skill at all,” he told ESPN’s Rachel Nichols. “I actually have to learn how to play basketball and have skill. I’ll take that any day.”

These are two of the best players in the league right now and given their levels and the fact that they’re constantly involved in the MVP conversation, it was kind of expected that they will clash at some point. However, it looks like this beef has more time than we can remember.

Giannis and Harden have starred in more than one controversial moment together, but there was one in specific that many people feel is the start of this rivalry.

After that, the heat was only increasing between them.

During the NBA All-Star Game draft, Giannis appeared to take a shot at Harden while picking his team. At one point, the Bucks star said he wanted somebody who could ‘pass the ball’. Moreover, after the ASG was finished, he revealed that the plan of Team Giannis was to attack Harden’s defense.

This is not the first time we see this and it surely won’t be the last. These two are great, they belong to the elite of basketball and there is no doubt that they still will be compared with each other and part of the MVP conversation every year.
