Jimmy Butler Says This Is Miami Heat’s Year To Win The NBA Championship

The Miami Heat barely managed to sneak into the 2023 postseason as the eighth seed after playing two games in the play-in tournament.

But in the playoffs, the Heat have shifted to another gear, and the majority of the credit for their success goes to Jimmy Butler. The 33-year-old recently revealed that he believes the Heat have what it takes to win the NBA Championship this season.

“This year is our year,” Butler said. “We’re going to go into this Game 1 and do what we’re supposed to do and be the first one to four. We are very capable of it. We have enough. Guys are playing some incredible basketball. I like our chances, as does everyone in this organization.”

Butler has been simply sensational this postseason. So far, he has averaged 31.5 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 5.5 APG, 0.7 BPG, and 2.1 SPG while shooting 52.2% from the field and 37.5% from the three-point line.

The Heat currently hold a 1-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals and are only three wins away from reaching the 2023 NBA Finals.
