Game 2 of the Los Angeles Clippers vs Denver Nuggets series ended in an absolute thriller, with the Clippers coming out on top after a grueling 105-102 finish. The series is now level at 1-1 with the games headed to Los Angeles, and Clippers fans are ecstatic with the result.

After the results of Game 1, it was evident that the Nuggets-Clippers series was going to be one of the most competitive ones this postseason. Although most people counted the Clippers out, they have managed to establish themselves as a team that can’t be taken lightly.

The largest point difference in the game was six points. This is a prime indicator of how close the game was. However, the Clippers managed to take that extra step that saw them break the deadlock near the end of the fourth quarter.

Clutch performances by Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell saw the Clippers through to a win in the end, and the fans were humming with the result.

“Vintage Kawhi > The Joker,” said one fan, reacting to the grueling superstar battle that ensued in Game 2.

“That focused mentality is key for the Clippers! Staying sharp and ready to strike will make all the difference in Game 3. Let’s see that determination on the court!” shared one fan, offering their input for the rest of the series.

“Yo, Kawhi’s locked in with that clutch mentality! @LAClippers ready to dominate Game 3 at home!” said another fan, showing support for the Clippers.

“Clippers scary when Kawhi is like this,” shared a fan, in reaction to Leonard’s dominant performance in Game 2.

“If Kawhi continues to play like he is in his prime, there will be no chance for the Nuggets,” shared another fan to show his support for the Clippers forward.

“GIVE ME 5 MORE GAMES OF THIS SERIES PLEASE,” said an excited fan, in hopes of seeing more playoff basketball.

Most fans pointed to Kawhi Leonard’s performance for being the point of difference in Game 2, and rightfully so. Leonard turned back the clock on Monday and looked like the prime version of himself, contrary to what some critics said about the star.

The forward had a monster performance. He recorded 39 points, three rebounds, and five assists on a ridiculous 15-19 shooting from the field. His efficiency on the offensive end down the stretch made all the difference for his team.

The Clippers also benefited from key contributions by players in their starting lineup. Clippers guard James Harden scored 18 points on the night. Meanwhile, Norman Powell, with his clutch performance in the fourth quarter, ended the game with 13 points. The win was also solidified by an admirable showing of 16 points and 12 rebounds by Ivica Zubac.

Meanwhile, Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic recorded a triple-double of 26 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists. Truly a display befitting a star of his caliber. Although the rest of the team also did well to support the star, they came up just short of winning it in the final seconds of the game.

The next set of games will take place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. At one game apiece, both teams will aim to take control of the series in Game 3 on Thursday at 10 pm ET.
