The Los Angeles Lakers lost their third consecutive game against the Phoenix Suns tonight, getting blown out 100-127 to the rival franchise who welcomed Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal back to the lineup after an injury layoff.

The Lakers simply didn’t have the talent to keep up with the Suns, being led by Anthony Davis‘ 25 points (10-19 FG) and 15 rebounds. LeBron James put up 18 points (7-16 FG), eight rebounds, and 10 assists in the loss meanwhile Austin Reaves contributed 15 points (6-12 FG) and D’Angelo Russell had 16 points (5-13 FG) off the bench.

Fans didn’t have the patience to make excuses for this one-sided loss.

“Right now the Lakers aren’t responding to JJ Redick’s coaching. Maybe he and LeBron should just go back to doing the podcast together so they can remain friends. Remember, the “GOAT” always needs a scapegoat,” said Skip Bayless attacking LeBron’s continued incompatibility with head coaches.

“This might be the worst Lakers defense I’ve ever seen. And I’m old,” said reporter Anthony Irwin about the loss.

“Lakers playing comp and getting blown out,” said one fan who wasn’t surprised to see the one-sided nature of this contest.

“Lakers are the definition of a fraudulent team. Beats up on bad teams, loses to the good ones,” said another fan.

“I didn’t wanna victory lap over being 10-4 after FOURTEEN games the roster will remain the roster took a new coach fans can’t scapegoat anymore to realize what we said two seasons ago when it came to upgrades while stupidly arguing over what the definition of an overpay was,” said one fan upset at the poor roster.

“Lakers cannot make a shot in the second half… of two straight games… And they can’t guard a parked car,” said an angry fan who was upset at their two-way incompetence.

“It is impossible to put into words how awful JJ Redick is. Shame on everyone for allowing the Lakers franchise to continue to be destroyed by brain-dead, idiots coaching the team. Another championship roster waisted. When will it end,” said one fan attacking JJ Redick.

The Suns’ big three dominated offensively with a balanced scoring attack between the three of them. Devin Booker scored 26 points (10-17 FG) and dished out 10 assists while Bradley Beal had 23 points (10-15 FG) and one highlight block on LeBron James. Kevin Durant scored 23 points (9-17 FG) as well, also grabbing six rebounds.

This wasn’t even competitive, especially in the second half, a trend that has followed the Lakers in their last three losses. They blew halftime leads against the Orlando Magic and Denver Nuggets and entered the second half tonight with just a two-point deficit. That was ruined in another disastrous third quarter for the Lakers, where they were outscored 18-36.

The team doesn’t have the necessary perimeter defenders to stop an offense with three All-Star caliber scorers like Booker, Durant, and Beal. In addition, they don’t have the offensive depth required to compete against teams with such power on the offensive side of the ball.

The Lakers desperately need to win tomorrow on the second night of a back-to-back against the San Antonio Spurs, while the Suns will hope they can get back to consistent winning ways as they host the Brooklyn Nets tomorrow.
