Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo reportedly got into a physical altercation at a Las Vegas Hotel that resulted in the Heat forward punching his former teammate in the face “without hesitation.” Tyler Herro spoke to the media at a team hotel when he was directly asked about this altercation.

“My only comment is no comment,” Herro reportedly said. All the sides involved, including the franchises, have a similar stance and are refusing to comment on it, even after acknowledging that the report is true.

“We are aware of the situation and won’t be providing any further details at this time,” a Heat source told Brett Siegel on ClutchPoints.

“What we can tell you is that there has been some level of resentment from multiple former Heat players that Bam was the chosen one here, and was given a big $$ extension by the Heat, and was never subjected to trade rumors,” wrote Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

It all apparently started with comments Tyler Herro made on social media about Bam Adebayo that seemed to rub Adebayo the wrong way. Former NBA player Danny Green also addressed the incident, saying that he had met Tyler Herro shortly before the news broke that they had been in an altercation.

“I got the news just as I was leaving the arena, and I had seen Tyler Herro, so I’m like, what?… Tyler Herro was courtside with his girlfriend. I saw him do the interview right next to me… The guy looked fine to me. He looked like he was in good spirits, and wifey was out there chilling. So I didn’t think anything of it,” Green explained on his podcast.

“But when I saw the news, I was like, ‘What? That can’t be real.’ It’s probably a small scuffle that somebody blew out of proportion because Tyler Herro looked just fine to me. I can see Bam checking somebody. Bam is a real dude. ‘You have something to say? Yo, say it to my face. You can talk to me about it if we run into any issues. Let me know what’s up.’ I don’t know the extent of it, but I was taken aback by it.”

Teams usually issue suspensions to players involved in such altercations, while the league does not usually intervene. But since Herro’s fight was with his former teammates, we are seeing a peculiar situation where Tyler Herro may not face any consequences from the Bucks.

Shortly before the news broke about the altercation, Herro had spoken to the media about his relationship with the Miami Heat and what he felt about his inclusion in the trade rumors.

“It’s all love in Miami. I’ve seen a couple of the guys on the coaching staff. Chris Quinn, Spo. We’re all good in Miami, and an opportunity for both sides to reset and get a fresh start. We’re both super happy for this,” said Herro.

So if Herro said this apparently after the reported altercation, it clearly shows that Green’s opinion may be correct, and this is just a small scuffle that has been blown out of proportion.

But as details of the altercation slowly unravel, it will be interesting to see what both sides are willing to say about the altercation after some time has passed.
