Nikola Jokic is on the cusp of rewriting NBA history as he is on the verge of becoming the first player to average 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in the last 60 years of the NBA playoffs.

Previously, the record was held by Oscar Robertson, who in the 1962-63 season propped up 31.8 points, 13.0 rebounds and 9.0 assists through 12 games, per Forbes.

“The second player to hit these marks is doing so while we watch the current NBA playoffs unfold, as Jokic, the Nuggets’ five-time All-NBA and two-time MVP, is putting up 30.6 points, 13.1 rebounds and 9.5 assists through ten postseason games so far,” the site’s Joel Rush wrote.

Jokic has been phenomenal so far this season. The regular stretch saw him average 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists. He upped his performances a notch in the postseason — a result of which the Nuggets are now in the Western Conference Finals.

If the former MVP can maintain this level of production, and with timely contributions from the rest of the squad, there’s no doubt that Jokic can lead the Nuggets to a championship.

Nikola Jokic’s Honest Reaction To Kevin Durant’s Compliments

Nikola Jokic was a picture of modesty when a reporter asked him about his thoughts on Kevin Durant’s rich praises after the Nuggets win.

“Jokic is an all-time great,” Durant said after the game. “He’ll go down as one of the all-time great centers to ever touch a basketball. He went out there and did what he was supposed to do.”

To which Jokic had a simple reply: “It just means a lot. The guy is amazing. When someone is like that and was MVP, champion, says something that like that, it means a lot.”

The Nuggets will now wait to see whether they face the Los Angeles Lakers or the Golden State Warriors in the WCF. Both the Lakers and the defending champs will square for Game 6 on Friday, with the former leading 3-2.
