As the NBA’s most polarizing player, nothing Kyrie Irving does is shocking anymore. When it comes to Uncle Drew and his potential for off-court theatrics, most fans and experts have already come to expect the worst.

But once the trade to Dallas was finalized earlier this week, there was hope within the community that Irving might finally settle down and establish a long-term home with the Mavericks.

So far, Kyrie has been mostly quiet and optimistic, but there may already be a problem brewing behind the scenes.

Earlier this season, Irving was caught in a massive scandal that resulted in an 8-game suspension from the Nets. Part of the whole process was an apology from Kyrie Irving that was posted on his Instagram in the aftermath of the ordeal.

While doing research on YHWH, I posted a Documentary that contained some false anti-Semitic statements, narratives, and language that were untrue and offensive to the Jewish Race/Religion, and I take full accountability and responsibly for my actions. I am grateful to have a big platform to share knowledge and I want to move forward by having an open dialogue to learn more and grow from this.

Kyrie had to apologize again later, and it would be weeks before the situation truly simmered down, but that post was Irving’s first attempt at making things right.

Kyrie Irving’s Apology Gets Mysteriously Taken Down

Apparently, as discovered by The Athletic’s Sam Amick, Irving deleted that post sometime before the Mavericks’ trade. And while we don’t know for certain why Irving deleted the statement, we can only assume he never wanted it out there in the first place.

Remember this apology by Kyrie about the video he posted?

Sometime before getting traded to Dallas,@sam_amick reports that Kyrie removed the post from his instagram. Here’s the link to Kyrie’s original post that has been removed:

Over the past few seasons with the Nets, Kyrie and Kevin Durant have been pushed back in ways we usually don’t see from star players, and Kyrie was essentially forced to comply.

Now that he’s free and no longer has to play by Brooklyn’s rules, he’s going to let his true colors show and be himself in the purest form.

The Mavericks will have to find a way to work with Irving and hope he stays out of the headlines long enough to get them a championship.
