Michael Jordan may be the GOAT when it comes to NBA players, but as the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, it would safe to say that he has not been very successful.

Michael Jordan was present on Friday night to watch his Charlotte Hornets team lose against the Orlando Magic. And he felt a range of emotions that were captured on camera, with the pictures going viral on social media.

Michael Jordan has gone viral for his reactions and expressions in the past, and the caption of the tweet itself sums up the latest pictures: “New Michael Jordan memes just dropped.”

While MJ didn’t have all that much to smile about, he did crack one that was clicked which brought back memories for this fan: “He be looking like 98 Mike when he be smiling.”

And the meme potential is lost on no one, two of the pictures are undeniably hilarious and can be used easily: “At first I was like no way, but then you get to 3 and 4, and they’re just undeniable.”

“Owning a team that’s been to one playoffs in the last decade will do this,” another fan said. It makes sense that the owner of one of the NBA’s most trolled franchises recently is going viral as a meme too.

And no post involving Michael Jordan can go viral without someone mentioning the fact that everyone else knows. As this fan simply noted, “This man really is the GOAT.”

Michael Jordan Has Become A Meme At Multiple Points In The Past

It’s impossible to be on NBA Twitter without seeing the ‘Crying Jordan’ meme or one of his many legendary quotes and reactions from the Last Dance documentary. Michael Jordan has been used in memes for a long time now, and even other NBA stars acknowledge it like Dwyane Wade once did

“Mike has successfully become another MeMe,” Wade wrote in 2020.

Being one of the most popular men to ever walk the earth has its side effects and being consistently used in memes is just one of those. It would be interesting to ask Michael Jordan about how things have changed on that front now that he is retired. But considering that the Charlotte Hornets have never made it out of the first round of the playoffs in his tenure as owner, Michael Jordan will have other things on his mind.
