LeBron James is arguably the greatest basketball player of this generation, and with each season he spends in the NBA, his case for being considered the GOAT also keeps getting better.
James most recently added another feather to his cap. Yes, we are talking about none other than LeBron James breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record. After breaking the record, LeBron was evidently very happy and even claimed that he is the greatest basketball player of all time, albeit after being essentially forced by Shaquille O’Neal to say so.
Anyway, coming back to LeBron James breaking Kareem’s record, the King was praised by everyone around the league for it. Apart from the NBA community, even renowned artists such as Rihanna, Drake, Snoop Dogg, and many others congratulated James.

This just goes to prove that what James achieved was probably one of the rarest records which fans saw being broken in this era. And it will be years before a player breaks James’ record because he still has a couple of years left in him.
Can LeBron James Lead The Lakers To The Playoffs?
Prior to the start of the 2022-23 NBA season, the target for the Los Angeles Lakers was obviously to make it to the NBA playoffs after missing out on it last season. Although many expected the team to make some trades, the Lakers held out on their assets.
Now, even with LeBron James having an MVP-like season, the Lakers are still 25-30 and are currently in the 13th place in the Western Conference. With more than half of the season already done and dusted, seeing the Lakers advance to the playoffs seems more like a pipedream.
If LeBron can somehow manage to carry the Purple and Gold to the playoffs, it will be a great achievement. But again, the odds of that happening are astronomically low.
