When the Los Angeles Clippers signed Russell Westbrook off the buyout market, fans had mixed reactions to it. Of course, the Clippers did so to improve their roster.
Unfortunately, the improvement is yet to be seen. If anything, the Clippers are going through a slump since signing Russell Westbrook. The organization is 0-3 since welcoming Russ to the roster. However, Westbrook is certainly not worried about the Clippers’ recent record.
“I’m not one bit worried,” Westbrook said. “We have an unbelievably talented group in this locker room, and we know what we have; we just got to make sure we put it together, and I really feel we gave three games away thus far. We’re going to get it together.”

Russell Westbrook was brought to the roster in hopes of taking care of the playmaking duties and taking off the ballhandling load from Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.
While Westbrook is undoubtedly capable of doing so, he is yet to build chemistry with the entire team. Fortunately, the Clippers still have plenty of games ahead of the postseason to iron out that issue.
Did The Clippers Make A Mistake By Signing Russell Westbrook?
Russell Westbrook‘s signing to the Clippers was met with some raised eyebrows. After all, Brodie isn’t the player that he once was. Moreover, his tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers was full of hiccups that could have been looked at as warning signs.
In the three games that Russ has played for the Clippers, he has averaged 16.0 PPG, 5.7 RPG, 9.3 APG, and 2.3 SPG. He has done all that while shooting 52.9% from the field. The only point of concern for the Clippers with Russ on the roster is his 4.3 turnovers per game.
If Westbrook can do that, it will make a massive difference for the Clippers. But it may take some time before Westbrook can cut down his turnovers as he is still building chemistry with his new teammates.
