Russell Westbrook recently signed with the Los Angeles Clippers, and there are many who believe that this could be a difference-making move for the franchise. As of right now, Russell Westbrook is averaging 15.9 PPG, 6.2 RPG, and 7.5 APG.

There is no doubt that Russell Westbrook is a player that a number of teams wanted, but in the end, he chose the Los Angeles Clippers. Recently, Westbrook revealed that being wanted by the team held a lot of value to him when making his decision.

“That’s a huge part for any normal human being…a lot of teammates and people that want you here is very important. To me, I value that a lot.”

There is no doubt that playing for a franchise that wants you and appreciates you is important. That was definitely not the case for Russell Westbrook on the Los Angeles Lakers, and the team clearly wanted to trade him for a long time prior to actually moving him. Hopefully, a chance of scenery can spell success for Russell Westbrook, and we’ll see how he does with the Clippers.

Russell Westbrook Could Be A Good Fit With Kawhi Leonard And Paul George

Russell Westbrook’s skill set could be a good fit for the Los Angeles Clippers, and he could definitely help out their stars. Recently, an NBA analyst explained why Russell Westbrook will be a good fit with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

Westbrook takes some ballhandling responsibility off of George and Leonard. In a vacuum, the question will be why the Clippers would want the ball in the hands of a player that has struggled lately to make shots at the rim, has rarely been an accurate jump shooter and has had a high turnover rate.

But Westbrook can get to the free throw line at a high rate, is still a good playmaker, and can push the pace. And if it means that George and Leonard have more juice to be efficient later in games, then the Clippers will take that.

There is no doubt that adding a floor general like Russell Westbrook will reduce some of the playmaking responsibility on Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. As long as Westbrook plays his role and knows when to step back, he could find great success on the Clippers.

Hopefully, we see things work out for Russell Westbrook on the Los Angeles Clippers. It would be amazing to see him win a championship, and he will have a legitimate chance of doing so with the Clippers.
