Serge Ibaka Casually Answering Questions In English, French, And Spanish After Game 4

2 Min Read

Serge Ibaka is not only a great basketball player but he’s also a terrific speaker. The Toronto Raptors big man has shown us he has the talent to speak at least three languages very fluidly. After Game 4 of their second-round series against the Boston Celtics, Ibaka was interviewed by reporters from all around the world and they made things a little more interesting for the Congolese-Spanish player.

Ibaka showed off his talents for languages, starting with the first reporter, who talked to him in English. After that, one French reporter talked to him. Instead of continuing speaking in English, Serge replied in French, too. Later, an Argentinian reporter was given the chance to talk with the big man and asked him about the coaches and the job they’re doing to help Nick Nurse and his players in this postseason.

Ibaka replied to all these questions with no problem, demonstrating that he’s not only talented on the court and on Youtube; he can speak more than one language and isn’t afraid to show it. Born in the Republic of the Congo, Ibaka learned French and if he forgot, living in Canada certainly helped him remember. He lived for a while in Spain and he plays for the Spanish national team so he knows Spanish, too.

English was a must since he plays in the NBA. Well, Ibaka has done a terrific job mastering all these languages and impressing everybody with his talents.

The Raptors are playing tonight against the Boston Celtics, trying to take the 3-2 lead in the series after a rough 2-0 start against the C’s. The reigning NBA champions aren’t done and Ibaka and co. will try to make things worse for the Celtics.
