To say Skip Bayless loves to clown on LeBron James, would be an understatement. Bayless has almost built his television career by being LeBron’s most outspoken critic and the man is relentless. It doesn’t matter what James does, Bayless always finds a way to take a shot at him.

He recently criticized LeBron, who had a 28-point triple-double, by stating that he expected a better game than that from James at Madison Square Garden. It is just what Bayless does and he was back at it on Tuesday. With LeBron being just 36 points away from surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the all-time leading scorer, there was a good chance he could do it that night against the Oklahoma City Thunder

While most people were looking forward to the iconic moment, Bayless was keen to put it out there, that even if he does break the record, James is still not the GOAT, as that title belongs to Michael Jordan in his eyes.

“LeBron has played 338 more games than MJ did. Yet MJ won 10 scoring titles to LBJ’s 1. MJ: 3 steals titles to LBJ’s 0. MJ: DPOY & 9-time 1st team all D to LBJ’s 5. MJ 5-4 in MVPs. MJ 6-0 in Finals, 6 MVPs. MJ averaged 8 assists in ’89. MJ FTs 84% to LBJ’s 74. MJ: RUNAWAY GOAT.”

It is totally fine to believe that MJ is the GOAT over LeBron, as his accomplishments, which Bayless listed out, speak for themselves. It is typical of Skip though to try to talk down about James before his big moment and for as long as LeBron keeps playing, you can be sure that Bayless will keep hating on him.

Skip Bayless’ Wild Theory On LeBron James

LeBron would, of course, break the record and it was an amazing moment. It is what everyone will remember this season for, but on somewhat of a negative note, there is another LeBron moment that will stick in your memory. That came at the end of the game against the Boston Celtics last month, when James was fouled by Jayson Tatum as he attempted the game-winner.

The officials did not call it though and LeBron was furious. His reaction was something we hadn’t seen from him ever before as he was totally distraught. Bayless though bizarrely claimed that LeBron was relieved the referees didn’t call it, because he wouldn’t want to attempt late-game free throws. Expect more of these outlandish takes as time goes by.
