The Memphis Grizzlies and the Golden State Warriors have a real rivalry that can no longer be denied. And Dillon Brooks is the man in the thick of it, with Draymond Green and Klay Thompson both beefing with him.

What anyone says off the court doesn’t matter when the game begins, though, and Dillon Brooks played a big role once again as the Grizzlies beat the Warriors. After the game, Stephen Curry gave props to Brooks for his defense.

(starts at 2:12 minutes)

“The way that they guard us, it’s putting a lot of pressure,” Curry said in his postgame interview. “Dillon does that a lot. Ninety-four feet, knowing he has a lot of size behind him, and it’s part of their game plan. So, whether you get up the normal amount of shots you do or not, you still just try to pick and choose your spots.

“A couple more go down, maybe things change a little bit. But was overall pretty- obviously, we lost, so I don’t really feel like talking about anything other than just, physically, I felt great.”

Stephen Curry had a rough game by his high standards, he scored just 16 points despite attempting 15 shots. Dillon Brooks was able to bother him at least a little bit. The fact that Curry gave him a shoutout despite the animosity between Brooks and his teammates shows what a class act he is.

On his part, Dillon Brooks has continued his tiff with the Warriors. He got in Stephen Curry’s face and riled Klay Thompson up enough that he started counting how many rings the Warriors have on the bench. Brooks and the Memphis Grizzlies may not be near the Warriors’ level in accomplishments, but they have been beating them recently.

When Will The Warriors And Grizzlies Clash Again?

The Golden State Warriors-Memphis Grizzlies matchups have become must-see television for NBA fans. But the two teams will not play each other again in the regular season. The Grizzlies are battling for the 2nd seed in the Western Conference, though.

The Warriors are the 7th seed with just 10 games left in their season. They have crucial clashes against the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves coming up, and they could end up in the playoffs as the 6th seed or 7th seed. There is a very good chance that the two teams could meet in the first round of the playoffs, and that would surely be an incredible series to watch.
