Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors have been one of the best teams in the NBA over the last decade or so. But it seems like the Warriors’ dominance will come to an end this season.

The Dubs are already down 0-2 against the Sacramento Kings in the first round of the playoffs. To put things into perspective, this is the first time that Stephen Curry has gone down 0-2 in the postseason.

The last time this happened was during the 2007 playoffs when the Dubs faced off against the Utah Jazz in the opening round. The Warriors ended up suffering a 4-1 defeat in the series.

After winning the NBA Championship last season, Stephen Curry and the Warriors are unlikely to defend their title. The reason behind it is the fact that no team in NBA history has won the NBA title after losing the first two games in the playoffs.

Can Stephen Curry Lead The Warriors To A Famous Comeback vs. The Kings?

In Game 2, the Warriors sustained a 106-114 defeat at the hands of the Kings. Stephen Curry recorded 28 points, 3 rebounds, and 6 assists while playing 41 minutes in the defeat.

Warriors fans were understandably furious after seeing the team lose two back-to-back games to start the playoffs. Theoretically, the Warriors still have a chance at making a comeback. But NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith believes the Dubs are in huge trouble.

“I’m very worried about the Golden State Warriors,” Smith said. “De’Aaron Fox is special, and I’m talking potentially Ja Morant kinda special, I’m talking about when Derrick Rose was at the height of his career. He’s unguardable. They cannot guard him… I looked at Sacramento last night and I was like this, ‘Oh my lord.’ I have been asleep on these brothers.”

The Warriors were looked at as the underdogs in the series, but deep down, most fans still believed that they will find a way to dominate the Kings. Unfortunately, that level of dominance is yet to be seen by the defending champions of the NBA.
