The Los Angeles Clippers recently signed Russell Westbrook after his buyout from the Utah Jazz. The point guard could be a game-changer on their roster due to their abundance of 3PT shooting. As of right now, Russell Westbrook is averaging.

Recently, Ty Lue explained how he plans to use Russell Westbrook on the court. He noted that he wants "Russ to be Russ" adding that he'll let the point guard know if he is doing too much or too little.

“We want Russ to be Russ. If he’s doing too much or not enough, I’ll let him know. We want him to be the MVP, the Hall of Famer that he is. We just gotta make sure it’s in the confines of our team… He’s excited, he just wants to win.”

Russell Westbrook is at his best when he is allowed to play free-flowing basketball, handle the ball, and make decisions. There is chaos to Westbrook's play, but it can be a positive if harnessed correctly. Hopefully, Ty Lue can utilize Russell Westbrook to his strengths while also helping the team.

An NBA Analyst Thinks Russell Westbrook Could Be A Good Fit For The Clippers

There is no doubt that Russell Westbrook could be a good fit for the Los Angeles Clippers. Recently, NBA insider Law Murray explained that Russell Westbrook could take some of the ballhandling load from Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

Westbrook takes some ballhandling responsibility off of George and Leonard. In a vacuum, the question will be why the Clippers would want the ball in the hands of a player that has struggled lately to make shots at the rim, has rarely been an accurate jump shooter and has had a high turnover rate.

But Westbrook can get to the free throw line at a high rate, is still a good playmaker, and can push the pace. And if it means that George and Leonard have more juice to be efficient later in games, then the Clippers will take that.

It remains to be seen how well Russell Westbrook will do on the Los Angeles Clippers. He is still a solid player, and if he plays within his role, he could be a very valuable acquisition to the team. He had a meeting with stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George before signing, and he likely already knows what is expected of him.

Hopefully, we will see Russell Westbrook have a bounce-back stretch with the Los Angeles Clippers. He is still a player that can help a contending team, and we'll see what happens in the future.
