Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant tragically passed away three and a half years ago but NBA fans have been wonderful when it comes to remembering them and honoring their memory.
Murals of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna have been painted across Los Angeles since their passing. However, Vanessa Bryant has now drawn attention to one that is set to be removed. She shared a petition to save it.
“We are saddened by the recent decision to remove a beloved mural honoring Kobe and Gianna Bryant in Downtown Los Angeles. We believe that this mural serves as a powerful symbol of inspiration, unity, and resilience for our city.
“Therefore, we urge the landlord owner to reconsider their decision and keep this meaningful tribute intact.”

Vanessa Bryant captioned her story, “Please sign this petition to save this beautiful Kobe and Gianna mural.”
The mural is a truly beautiful one showing that they are angels and it shouldn’t be taken down. The petition’s required number is 50,000 and it has amassed over 40,000 signatures so far.
Vanessa Bryant Shared An Emotional Tribute On Kobe Bryant’s Birthday
Kobe Bryant’s birthday was just last month, the NBA legend would have turned 45 years old. And Vanessa Bryant paid a lovely tribute to her late husband on social media on August 23.
“Happy 45th birthday, baby. I love you always & forever. #82378.”
The entire ordeal that occurred in California in 2020 was a terrible one for the Bryant family. Not only did Vanessa Bryant lose her husband, but she also lost her daughter, a pain so great that it is hard to imagine.
Kobe Bryant and Gigi Bryant will always be loved, Kobe for everything he did and Gianna for everything that she could have been. Murals depicting them and their eternal relationship need to be preserved, especially in Los Angeles.
Vanessa Bryant Has Done A Lot To Keep Kobe Bryant’s Memory And Legacy Alive
Kobe Bryant and his wife Vanessa met when she was just 17 years old and their relationship lasted for more than 20 years. The NBA legend and his wife had their ups and downs but their love endured all the problems they faced.
Since Kobe’s passing, Vanessa Bryant has done everything she can to keep his legacy and his memory alive. She announced last year that Kobe Bryant’s estate would keep its partnership with Nike going, a major move.
Vanessa Bryant has also hinted at a statue of Kobe Bryant outside Crypto.com Arena, the Los Angeles Lakers‘ legendary home arena.
She has been working behind the scenes so that her late husband is honored in a meaningful and proper way. This petition simply seems to be an extension of that.
Vanessa Bryant has also not been afraid to get her hands dirty. She sued Los Angeles County for the mishandling of evidence from the fatal helicopter crash and won $30 million in the process. She has made sure anyone who disrespected Kobe Bryant and Gianna Bryant was held accountable.
Moving forward, the hope will be that the murals of Kobe and his late daughter are kept up wherever they are constructed. He did a lot for the NBA and deserves to be remembered, as does Gianna Bryant.
