Kobe Bryant is one of the most revered legends in the history of the NBA and particularly the Los Angeles Lakers. The team is bound to immortalize him with a statue outside the Crypto.com Arena.

Vanessa Bryant has teased on her Instagram story that the Kobe statue may be coming to reality sooner rather than later.

Jeanie Buss has previously confirmed the plans to build a Kobe statue, which will carry the number 24, as Bryant had once requested.  That statue will instantly become a congregation site for Laker fans around the world who’ll visit the arena just to pay their respects to the legend.

Kobe Bryant Is The Greatest Laker Ever

The Los Angeles Lakers are easily the most recognizable basketball franchise in the world. Even though the team has had legends like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Magic Johnson in the past, Kobe Bryant’s reign with the team from 1996 to 2016 cemented him as the greatest in the eyes of many.

Kobe won 5 championships with the Lakers and 2 Finals MVPs. He may have threatened to leave at various times but never ended up leaving the franchise. He has played the second-most consecutive season with the same team in the NBA, an incredible achievement for a player of his caliber.

The late great Kobe averaged 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists over his career and already has two retired jerseys hanging in the rafter of the Crypto.com Arena.
