Dwight Howard’s stocks seem to be skyrocketing with the former Los Angeles Lakers center drawing some attention from Venezuelan professional basketball teams.

Per Cancha Latina, reports of the Venezuelan team, Guaros de Lara interested in acquiring his services did the rounds. While there isn’t much to follow up about how much the franchise expects to pay him, the outlet speculates that Howard might be offered more than what the Taoyuan Leopards, the T1 League team he plays for has to give.

According to Taiwan News, the big man’s salary reportedly exceeds $1 million. It remains to be seen if Guaros de Lara, one of the decorated teams that have won the FIBA Intercontinental Cup along with a string of other titles can bag Howard for more moolah.

Howard has been looked at as a bonafide star in Taiwan and was recently selected to the league’s All-Star Game. Recently, the center’s video of taking part in a 3-point contest went viral. He managed to score 15 points and drain a money ball three.

Does Dwight Howard Have A Shot At Making An NBA Comeback?

His performances for the Leopards, coupled with the recent developments beg the question of whether Howard has another shot at making an NBA comeback.

The eight-time All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the Year has proved to be an impact player off the bench and even played his part in helping the Lakers win a title in 2020. And while he may not be the prime version of himself, he’s still proved that he’s got what it takes to contribute to any of the teams he plays for in the league.

Presently, Howard’s chances of making a return are slim, but such has been the nature of the league that he may have a shot at some point. He’s kept himself in shape and has demonstrated that he’s got what it takes to survive in a grueling tournament. Safe to say, Howard, can’t be written off, not just yet.
