Dwight Howard is a superstar in Taiwan, possibly even bigger than he was during the prime of his NBA career. He’s making headlines there and recently participated in something you wouldn’t expect.

Howard was part of a 3-point contest in Taiwan and actually managed to have a good performance, scoring 15 points and sinking a money ball three.

Howard attempted just over 100 3-pointers in his 18-year NBA career but is playing like a stretch five in Taiwan. His shooting touch has clearly improved, as evidenced by his performance.

Howard is having the time of his life in Taiwan, competing hard for the Taoyuan leopards. His team hasn’t been getting a lot of success, though, as the Leopards are currently playing with a losing record. Either way, the marketing attention that Dwight has brought to the league and his franchise is going to be extremely valuable in an off-the-court sense.

Will Dwight Howard Get Another Chance In The NBA?

It seems like Dwight Howard’s career in the NBA might be over. He’s trying to keep himself relevant in Taiwan and has had some big moments, including being ejected in a massive brawl. However, NBA teams are likely not to take a look at him, given his age and experience. Howard has had his time in the NBA and left the league as a champion and one of the greatest defenders of his era.

If Dwight is available, he’s fighting for a spot with many other centers like him that have struggled to get jobs. DeMarcus Cousins is an example too. If Howard can continue playing basketball in other leagues, he should definitely do it. The only way he returns to the NBA is as an emergency veteran signing, so we can never say never.
