Breaking: Victor Oladipo To Sit Out Orlando Restart

2 Min Read

The NBA is set to restart the season in Orlando later this month, but it doesn’t mean every player will be joining them. Besides the eight teams that were left out, many players have elected to sit out the remainder of the season for various reasons.

Victor Oladipo is the latest to make the decision not to play.

Vic joins a list of names that includes DeAndre Jordan, Avery Bradley, Davis Bertans, and Trevor Ariza. Considering his role and level of production to his team, though, his loss may be the most impactful.

Without Oladipo, it will be hard for the Pacers to gain any real traction this postseason, especially going up against teams like Philly, Toronto, Boston, and Milwaukee.

The reasoning behind his sit-down is no doubt in connection to COVID-19, but it also has to do with an unrelated injury that has kept him out for most of this season. Sitting out may be the best option for him moving forward, especially considering his upcoming free agency.

Either way, Vic likely isn’t going to be the last person to make this decision and we will continue to provide updates as the situation around the league continues to develop.
