Jimmy Butler was overjoyed when he saw that Carlos Alcaraz was beating Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon Finals.

Jimmy Butler is known to be a massive sports fan, not just a basketball fan. He has repeatedly discussed his love for football or soccer, even hanging out with superstars of the sport like Neymar Jr. regularly.

Butler was extremely invested in another sport recently, watching tennis in the middle of the night while rooting for eventual Wimbledon winner Carlos Alcaraz. 

Butler had good reason to celebrate the way he did, as Carlos Alcaraz pulled off an incredible feat. He beat seven-time Wimbledon winner Novak Djokovic in the Finals, signifying that the new guard of tennis is knocking on the door. With Roger Federer having retired and Rafael Nadal also in the twilight of his career, tennis is going to be reshaped by Alcaraz and his contemporaries.   


Jimmy Butler Is Waiting For Dame Time

Butler is clearly on vacation and having a great time unwinding after a tough season. He dragged his Miami Heat to the Finals on an injured ankle, an incredible feat for the often underappreciated star. Despite that, players around the league have started giving Butler’s mentality a lot of credit. Damian Lillard is angling to be moved to the Heat, and he wouldn’t want to come play here if Butler wasn’t on the roster.

Butler averaged 26.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists in the playoffs, while Lillard averaged 32.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists in the regular season. Lillard’s presence alone would make the Heat a guaranteed top-four seed in the East and would unlock the team’s ceiling as a championship-winning team. It’ll be interesting to see if Lillard ends up with Miami, given how hard he and his management team have pushed for the same
