Jimmy Butler has earned a well-deserved rest this offseason, defying expectations by leading the Miami Heat to the NBA Finals despite entering the playoff as an eighth seed. He played through an ankle injury he suffered in the second round in a valiant effort before the Heat fell short of the Denver Nuggets in the Finals.

Butler is enjoying his summer as seen in a video where the star is seen singing Justin Bieber’s 2015 hit ‘Love Yourself’ on stage.

Butler is a big admirer of soccer and was seen hanging out with Neymar before Game 3 of the Finals. They’ve been hanging out together this summer, as the pair were seen betting on bowling games earlier this weekend.

Jimmy Butler Possibly Teaming Up With Damian Lillard

The Miami Heat are expected to be one of the most active teams this offseason, with the team being considered the No. 1 suitor for Damian Lillard if he asks to be traded from the Portland Trail Blazers. Butler has hinted toward Dame joining the Heat whereas Lillard got in trouble for hosting an Instagram Live with Will Smith’s ‘Miami’ playing in the background

If not Lillard, the team is going to retool around their existing core and hope Tyler Herro is healthy and contributing next season. Herro was called a franchise anchor alongside Bam Adebayo by Pat Riley, so it seems unlikely he’ll be traded for any secondary star on the market.

Lillard is reportedly going to wait before the start of free agency to inform the Blazers of his decision, so the Heat need to keep their options open. Either way, they have the nucleus of a contender and need to find ways to add ingredients to guarantee more regular season success for seeding reasons.
