  • LeBron James is back home in Akron
  • James drove through the area while listening to a Michael Jackson song
  • LeBron has always had a great deal of interest in music

LeBron James has had another busy offseason, but it seems the Los Angeles Lakers superstar is now relaxing back in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. James shared a post on Instagram of him driving in the area while listening to Michael Jackson’s, “This Place Hotel.”

“Love being back in my backyard and just cruising around with no care in the world!!!! MJ going strong and stank face on!! Thank you to Life itself!”

LeBron has often been called out for butchering the lyrics of songs he’s listening to. Last year, fans reacted to James getting the lyrics wrong for a song by rapper Young Dolph. He has gotten it wrong on quite a few occasions since then as well and managed to resist the urge to sing along here for a while. Toward the end of the clip, though, the 38-year-old did start singing as he just couldn’t hold it in any longer.

Using his phone and recording himself while driving isn’t ideal, but LeBron isn’t really going to be finding himself in trouble over this. James previously posted a video of him listening to Drake while driving his Ferrari, and this is something he does fairly often.

An Old Clip Of LeBron James Rapping Surfaced Recently

We all know just talented LeBron is on the basketball court. He is arguably the greatest all-around player we have ever seen and just finished averaging 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game in the 2022-23 season.

It turns out, that the 19-time All-Star also had some talent when it came to rapping. An epic old clip of LeBron rapping resurfaced recently, and it was a pretty decent attempt on his part.

James knows his limitations when it comes to singing, however. LeBron once stated he wants to produce a music album but won’t be rapping in it, as he knows what he is actually good at. He stated he has many friends who can do it, though, and that he certainly does.

His passion for the sport was ignited after witnessing the high-octane offense of the Steve Nash-led Phoenix Suns. Among the Suns, Shawn Marion stood out to Gautam as an all-time underrated NBA player. Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
