The Miami Heat were on cloud nine when they were blowing out the Milwaukee Bucks in the fourth quarter of Game 3, but then disaster struck.
With the Heat leading 112-88, Victor Oladipo landed awkwardly after going up for a layup and it seems to have caused some serious damage to his knee.

He had to be helped off the court by his teammates, who looked devastated in the aftermath of that injury.

Head coach Erik Spoelstra stated postgame that he felt like throwing up, and the Heat are gutted for the former All-Star. This is just the latest setback in an injury-riddled career and one can only hope that this one isn’t as severe as it seems.
Oladipo had a solid season with the Heat in 2022-23, averaging 10.7 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 3.5 APG, and 1.4 SPG. He primarily came off the bench and had 8 points, 2 rebounds, an assist, 2 steals, and a block in this game before exiting. This is the second significant injury that the Heat have suffered in this series after Tyler Herro broke two fingers in Game 1. He is set to be out for 4-6 weeks, and it is very unlikely that Oladipo plays any further part in this series either. The Heat are now leading 2-1 after their win in Game 3, but these injuries will take a big toll on them moving forward.
Victor Oladipo’s Wretched Injury History
Oladipo was relatively healthy for his first five seasons in the league with the Indiana Pacers. His first major injury came back in 2019 when he ruptured a quad tendon in his right knee. It took him over a year to get back on the court, but it was clear he would never be able to return to his All-Star status. The Pacers traded him to the Houston Rockets in 2021 and just a couple of months later, they traded him to the Heat.
Less than two months into his tenure with Miami, Oladipo required season-ending surgery to repair his right quadriceps tendon. Then this past offseason, he was plagued by knee issues again that caused him to miss the first 24 games of this season. The injury bug just will not stay away, but Oladipo will still try his hardest to get back on the court, as he always has.
