Jimmy Butler is among the most loved and respected superstars currently in the NBA, following another NBA Finals appearance for the Miami Heat.

Butler was the leader of a team that wasn’t expected to make it out of the first round, and he has received a lot of love for his greatness in recent times. And NBA fans in China showed him just how much his stock has risen at this point.

Jimmy Buckets had his name chanted by large crowds in the town he was in, the level of celebrity usually reserved for LeBron James and Stephen Curry. Butler even got on the court and dunked at an even, causing the crowd to lose it.

Throughout his career in the league, Jimmy Butler has only ever cared about winning. Unsurprisingly, another Finals loss hasn’t sat well with the Heat superstar. But going around the globe and realizing the impact he’s had on so many people will surely ease the pain of the loss at least a little.

The 6-time All-Star won the Larry Bird Eastern Conference Finals MVP award last season, averaging an incredible 26.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 1.8 steals per game in the playoffs. He has risen to the level of a true superstar, and if the Miami Heat can land Damian Lillard, might be able to become a champion too.

Jimmy Butler Also Got Hit In The Face With A Shoe By A Chinese Fan A Few Days Ago

Life, as they say, is often unpredictable. While Butler was greeted by throngs of adoring masses in the video above, his experience in China hasn’t been an entirely positive one either. During one event, he was even hit in the head with a show by a fan, reacting to the incident in a video after it happened.

“Man, what an unreal experience,” Butler said later on. “First of all, besides getting hit in the face with a shoe, which was probably my favorite part of the whole thing.”

Jimmy Butler is the ultimate competitor, he wants to win more than anything else. And his combative personality means he probably enjoyed getting hit with that shoe as much as he did all the adoration. Butler has become a bonafide superstar in this era, though, and hopefully, he can get himself a championship before he retires.
