WNBA Star Elizabeth Cambage Slams Shawn Marion After He Says “I Feel Like I Should’ve Been Top 75”

Shawn Marion raised a lot of eyebrows recently, after making a bold claim about his status among the greatest NBA players of all time. The former Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks player was a big contributor for his teams, but never the best player on the roster.

That’s why it was shocking to hear him putting himself among the greatest players the NBA has seen. Talking on SLAM’s ‘No Pump Fakes,’ Marion talked about the controversial NBA’s top 75 players of all-time list, claiming he should have been included on it.

Of course, this didn’t sit well with any fan in the association. They went after the forward on social media, calling him out for those big words.

Moreover, a WNBA star trolled the retired player, adding herself to the list, too. Las Vegas Aces’ Elizabeth Cambage reacted to Marion’s remarks, saying he wasn’t alone in that sentiment.

“Sh****t I should have been on that list as well then ,” the Australian player commented on SLAM’s publication.

After that, more fans joined Liz, criticizing Marion for making those comments. It’s good that he has confidence in himself and believes his career was worthy of a top-75 spot, but nobody around the NBA community agreed with him.

Shawn was really good during his days. He was terrific in Phoenix alongside Steve Nash and Amar’e Stoudemire. Then, he helped the Dallas Mavericks win the 2011 NBA championship, doing something plenty of legends couldn’t do.

Still, that doesn’t seem to be enough to be part of a list that included incredible players who won individual and collective awards during their careers. The top 75 list did have some big snubs, like Dwight Howard, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, and more. Yet, nobody ever told Shawn Marion was missing on the list.
