Zach LaVine is one of the bright young stars in the NBA today. The former All-Star has been the key figure for the Chicago Bulls, someone who the entire franchise has built their team around. But the Bulls haven’t found success with LaVine as their primary star. So could a trade be on the horizon?

Not if you believe Zach LaVine. LaVine spoke recently about his future with the Chicago Bulls. He noted that while he doesn’t anticipate being traded or moved away if any such move were to occur, he would continue to hold the city of Chicago in his heart, and always show love to them.

“I don’t see anything happening anytime soon. But if it does, Chicago always has my love.”

The Chicago Bulls are yet to make any major moves in the offseason. Their massive team overhaul two years ago has not paid off, and the Bulls have not made any significant progress in the playoffs. The Bulls could look to retool their franchise once again, but it would be through trades, as most notable free agents have been signed to new deals.

Can Zach LaVine Find Success In A New Team?

Some have suggested that Zach LaVine could do with a change in scenery. He hasn’t been able to find major playoff success with the Chicago Bulls. And the franchise is no longer able to attract big-name free agents like they used to. The Bulls need to figure out a way to get LaVine another superstar to play with or let him go.

LaVine was recently linked to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of a trade that would land the third overall pick Scoot Henderson in Chicago. That deal obviously did not come to fruition, as Henderson is now going to be the building block of the Trail Blazers, with Damian Lillard expected to be traded.
