Damian Lillard is hoping to call time on his stint with the Portland Trail Blazers soon. The point guard demanded a trade from the franchise after 11 years with them. Lillard’s future is up in the air, as there is no word on where he will land. But regardless of his future, he holds Portland near and dear to his heart.

During an Instagram Live, Damian Lillard was relaxing in a pool while addressing his fans. He reassured fans of the Portland Trail Blazers that he would always have love for the franchise, regardless of where he ends up heading into the new NBA season. Lillard clearly has a lot of respect for the city, the team, and the fans.

“You know it’s all love on my behalf. It’s bulletproof… Bulletproof Love for PDX baby you already know.”

Lillard has been one of the most loyal superstars in NBA history. He has stayed with the franchise as long as he possibly could, and always wanted to bring championship success to the city. But once he realized that would not be possible, he decided he wanted to leave the franchise.

Where Will Damian Lillard Play Next Season

Damian Lillard is expected to play for a new team going into the new season. Lillard has made it no secret that he wants to join the Miami Heat. However, the Trail Blazers are hesitant to deal him to Miami, as they don’t think they can offer them the best package.

Lillard seems to be frustrated with the franchise, even liking a Tweet asking Nike owner Phil Knight to buy the franchise. However, he explained that he was not being critical of the ownership, and it was just a mistake. We can hope that Lillard will get to leave the franchise on the best terms possible.
