It goes without saying that LeBron James and Stephen Curry are two of the greatest players to ever live. Obviously, LeBron is much better than Curry in some aspects of the game, while Stephen Curry is clearly superior to James in others.
The NBA 2K21 ratings have always been controversial. Everybody’s entitled to their own opinion and will obviously be biased when looking at the rankings. Here, we talked about some of the craziest rankings in this year’s edition.
And, considering Stephen Curry is one of the best point guards in the league, and perhaps the greatest three-point shooter ever, it doesn’t strike us as a surprise to see his NBA2K1 rating being kind of inflated in some aspects where he doesn’t thrive as much.
Then again, if we take a look at his block rating (55), we just can’t fathom the fact that is higher to LeBron’s (51). If we take into notice that Curry isn’t much of a defender, significantly shorter, and averages 0.2 blocks per game to LeBron’s 0.8.
LeBron James has always been known for his signature chase-down block. In fact, he’s swatted over 10 shots in just 3 games vs. the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Semifinals. We can also remember his iconic clutch block over Andre Iguodala in the 2016 NBA Finals, while I honestly can’t even remember Curry ever blocking a shot.
Curry’s rating in shooting, playmaking, and ball-handling should be far higher than James and there’s absolutely no doubt about that. But blocks? Really? how does that even happen?
