Skip Bayless: “As I’ve Long Said, LeBron Is The Least Clutch Late-Game Free-Throw Shooter Of Any Star In NBA History. He Just Missed Another One To Win That Game.”

Skip Bayless saw a big chance to criticize LeBron James on Monday night and he didn’t miss it, going against the King for his failures in the last second of the Lakers-Wizards game at Staples Center. Bron had the chance to give the lead to the Lakers with a free throw but he missed the shot, leaving the door open for the Wizards to take control of the game.

In the end, the Lakers lost 117-114 in 2OT against Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook, who combined for 65 points. Even though LeBron took responsibility for that free throw after the game, that didn’t stop Bayless from criticizing him and his free-throw shooting’s struggles.

“As I’ve long said, LeBron is the least clutch late-game free-throw shooter of any star in NBA history. He just missed another one to win that game.”

As I've long said, LeBron is the least clutch late-game free-throw shooter of any star in NBA history. He just missed another one to win that game.

LeBron just turned it over EIGHT MORE TIMES. Should've been nine but got away from shoving down Bertans. I'm pretty sure LeBron is now leading the league in turnovers. MVP???

LeBron James was one rebound shy of recording another triple-double in his career but that didn’t happen, just like the Lakers taking the win didn’t happen, either. After that free throw, the King made another questionable decision when he attempted a long 3-point shot, which he missed, and took the Lakers’ chances to win away. This hasn’t been the first time Bron has missed a clutch FT and it probably won’t be the last.

#Lebron said "F it" and yeeted a 3-pointer with 7 seconds left. He did not wanted to go to a 2nd OT tonight. #LakeShow  x #DCAboveAll

They finished the 3rd quarter up by 15 and everything fell apart after that moment. James had a career-high 8 turnovers, shot 2-10 from beyond the arc and missed the game winning FT while recording 1-3 FT’s during the game. This wasn’t a good performance by the player, although he finished the game with 31 points, 9 rebounds, and 13 assists. The Lakers lost their third consecutive game and Bron’s seems to be unable to lift this team without Anthony Davis on the floor.
