Michael Jordan will be in charge of Kobe Bryant’s induction to the Hall of Fame next month in which will be a very emotional ceremony for everyone. His Airness and the Black Mamba developed a very good relationship during their time in the league and Jordan became a mentor for Kobe, who always looked up to the Chicago Bulls legend.

Shams Charania of The Athletic revealed that the Charlotte Hornets will introduce his good friend next May 15 in a ceremony that will have plenty of big names entering the hall of the immortals.

Just like in his ceremonial service, people expect to see some tears in the public when it’s Kobe’s turn. The Black Mamba suddenly left this world back in January 2020 in a fatal helicopter crash that killed him, his daughter Gianna and seven other people. This will be another homage to the 5x NBA champion, who knew how to leave a big mark on the game.

One would have thought other candidates like Phil Jackson or Shaquille O’Neal could have done the job but it’s perfect that Jordan was selected.

There will be more players inducted to the HOF, including Tim Duncan, who will be introduced by David Robinson, his former San Antonio Spurs teammate. Minnesota Timberwolves idol Kevin Garnett will be introduced by Isiah Thomas.

Alonzo Mourning will introduce Tamika Catchings alongside Dawn Staley and Vlade Divac will do the same with Patrick Baumann. This will be a very magical night for the basketball world, especially when MJ comes out to present Kobe.
