NBA Fans React To Lola Bunny Redesign From 1996 To 2021

In recent hours, we got to learn more details about the upcoming Space Jam movie, which will feature LeBron James trying to save his son from a very unexpected enemy that will try to steal followers from the King. Entertainment Weekly shared a series of pics showing some details about the film, including LeBron, Bugs Bunny, and Don Cheadle.

One of the biggest surprises of the first look of the movie was the redesign of Lola Bunny, one of the favorite characters in the first movie that featured Michael Jordan playing against the Monstars to save the Looney Tunes. Things changed a little for Lola and now she looks different than she did in 1996.

NBA fans took to social media to show their discomfort with the changes Lola suffered and made her trending on Twitter. While some explained this was a good move from Warner Bros, others clarified that some pictures weren’t official and fans were overreacting to it.

Wait what happened

I dont see whats wrong. 1996: hourglass figure. 2021: pear figure. All that happened was that they reduced her breasts and put more focus on the leg muscles. Shes cute either way

Flat chest justice ✊🏼I honestly really prefer this design, she doesnt need an extremely “sexy womanly body”when the other characters all look like genderless cartoon characters

The left is fanart. The actual movie used soft shadows, not hard lined ones. Also didn't have such a large bust. That said, completely removing her figure is entirely the wrong move. "How do we make a strong female character? I know! Make her more male looking!"

The plot of the movie is very interesting, to say the least, with LeBron trying to fight against this AI ‘envy’ of his fame on social media.

“Playing a heightened version of himself, [LeBron] James struggles to relate to his son Dom [played by 16-year-old Cedric Joe], who’s much more interested in creating games than playing them. When Dom’s tech skills draw the attention of a CGI humanoid named Al G Rhythm (Don Cheadle), the father-son duo get sucked into the Warner 3000 entertainment “Server-verse,” with the A.I. kidnapping Dom in the hopes of stealing some of the King’s followers (IRL he has about 80 million on Instagram). Cheadle doesn’t consider Al G a bad guy (what bad guy does?), but rather “an A.I. with a chip on his shoulder,” says the MCU veteran.”

Nobody expected this announcement to create controversy around the league but turns out it actually did and now fans are showing their disagreement with the way WB did things with this movie.
